Sasha releases two “Coma” remixes by Three and Ki:Theory on limited 12” white label vinyl. Side A reveals how Three re-animates "Coma" with wobbly sub bass, subtle acid and bizarre electronics topped off with 909 claps, snares and a low-slung vintage synth. In signature style, Three reveals the unique, melodic techno lurking inside the original. Side B shows how Ki:Theory takes Sasha into alternative electronic territory. Retaining the synth hook of the original, Ki:Theory replaces all else with his unique amalgamation of lo-fi organic sounds, tailored by a trademark cut and paste production style.

Now, in a bid to find the perpetrator of the heinous crime, Sasha releases ‘Who Killed Sparky?’, which he describes as, “A question that must be answered. Duncan, Charlie, Barry and I have been juggling studio time, finalizing this latest track with pounding the Manhatten pavement in the vein hope we find the culprit.” The result is sore eyes, ringing ears, battered footwear and another, incredible chapter in the emFire cannon; a track with the balls, brass and size to tackle its noble crusade. Fundacion NYC is the sound of Sasha’s new Ableton/Maven DJ set-up in live action and intuitively matches some of the coolest electro-house sounds around with forgotten classics he has revived and reworked. It’s also a mirror of his recent residency sets at crobar in New York City. Sometimes as many as five tracks come together at once to create completely new tunes, though Sasha’s innate ability to clarify and streamline sound means things never get over-crowded. Instead Fundacion captures a great DJ having the time of his life. “It’s completely re-energised me again,” says Sasha. “I’m jumping up and down in the DJ booth. And people can feel that on the dance-floor, they know.”
